At this time, we are particularly interested in receiving short fiction, folklore from all cultures and countries, fantasy, or mystery-solving stories suitable for children for inclusion in a compendium of short stories.
- we welcome cultural diversity.
- we will pay $100.00 (Can) for any stories we publish.
- approximate length: 3000 words.
- no query letter is necessary to submit a short story.
- when we purchase a story, it becomes the property of Daisy Books and may be edited for length and/or content.
Send your short story to the attention of Luke Fillion by regular (not electronic) mail to the address below and make sure it is marked "Short Story." Please include a stamped self-addressed envelope with your submission.
Golden Opportunity For Canadian Authors Only
If you are an unpublished Canadian author, with a completed manuscript you would like us to consider for publishing in 2005, please send a query letter. Include your email address, an author bio, outline, sample chapters, and a SSAE (for use if you want your submission returned to you in the event we cannot use it). Genres: short or full-length fiction or non-fiction, biographical, autobiographical, or self-help. As long as you include your email address, we will email you to let you know we've received your query letter. We are not looking for another Bridget Jones Diary, or for work that mimics another author's style. What we are looking for is originality, and interesting content. Nothing XXX rated!
Please send your queries to:
